FIFA tournament generator

FIFA tournament generator allows you to create your own FIFA tournaments with friends in 3 easy steps:
• Choose the type of tournament (league, knockout or both)
• Add some players
• Assign teams to each player
The fixtures and results table will be generated automatically. Players will never play against their own teams. You can use FIFA tournament generator to keep track of the results.
Why use this application? FIFA creates tournaments, right?
That's right! But it's not possible to create a tournament where players don't get matched up against their own teams. While it is possible to simulate these matches ingame, it's kind of annoying to lose the tournament by a simulated match.
How did you get the idea for this application?
Me and my friends play quite a lot of FIFA. We take turns picking teams and start creating the list of fixtures in something like Microsoft Excel. I thought it would be nice to create some piece of software to accomplish just that: create your tournament, add players & teams, generate the fixtures and keep track of the scores. The results table will be updated accordingly.
Explanation of tournament types

• League: each team of every player plays once or twice against every other team (but not the player's own teams)
• Knockout: knockout system for up to 8 players. One team per player (no more, because otherwise players may get matched up against their own team). Finals can be played in one or two legs (away goal rule applies for two legs).
• League and knockout: first, the league is played. After the league fixtures have been played, the best 8/4/2 qualify for the finals (max. 1 team per player to prevent getting matched up against their own team).
